It will go around the park, along the Coldwater Stream path to Voght Street, left to Coldwater Avenue (at Home Hardware), up Coldwater to the Coldwater store, and left - back to the park. You may choose to walk the loop 1 or 2 times. Fully accessible, it is scooter-friendly, and the first person to register with a scooter shall receive a prize. Also, the first team (3 dogs or more) to register shall receive a prize. Please notify me if you may be eligible for these prizes. Of course there will be more great prizes and activities at the event! Challenge a friend to "Pucker up for Pooches" at the dog kissing stand. Call to volunteer or for more information. See you there!
Dog Guides are provided at no cost to people with a physical or medical disability. Thanks to national sponsors, 100% of the funds raised from the Pet Valu Walk go directly to the six Dog Guide training programs. Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides have provided specially trained Dog Guides to over 2,500 eligible Canadians from coast to coast at no cost despite costing $25,000 to train and place and no government funding. With your help, more people can experience the mobility, safety and independence a devoted Dog Guide brings.
