My son, Kenner has been fortunate to have two Lions Foundation Dog Guides. His first Autism Assistance Dog Guide, Ivy has recently retired and this past winter his new Dog Guide, Rickman came home. In Kenner’s own words — “Having Rickman allows me to stay calm and feel safe. I can’t live without him.” Each of these life-changing Dog Guides cost approximately $25,000 to puppy raise, train and match with their forever friend. Any donation small or large will go a long way to making a huge difference.
Dog Guides are provided at no cost to qualified applicants. Thanks to national sponsors, 100% of the funds raised from the Walk go directly to the six Dog Guide training programs. Dog Guides Canada has already provided their specially trained Dog Guides to more than 2,000 men, women and children from ages 4 to 88, all without any government funding. With your help more people can experience the mobility, safety and independence a devoted Dog Guide brings.
