General Info:

The Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides is a national fundraising walk held in local communities in each province across Canada. It raises funds to help Lions Foundation of Canada continue to fulfill its mission of empowering Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence by providing Dog Guides at no cost to them and supporting each pair in their journey together. Each walk is organized by local volunteers with support from Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. To date, the walk has raised more than $21 million!

Anything else:

This walk is being held to raise awareness and money to support the Dog Guide program. All donations go directly into the program. The Walk itself is a great way to bring the community together to share in a common cause. However, some folks may raise money and not do the walk or vice versa. Raising money? Join our team online or pick up a pledge form at the Post Office, restaurants, and stores in the village. If you would like to bring your well socialized dog to the Walk - that's great! Thank you for being a responsible pet parent! You do not need to have a dog to participate.
