This May, help me “walk across Canada” to give more Canadians a new leash on life!

From guiding their handlers through their daily lives to getting help when it's needed most, Dog Guides play a crucial role in the lives of Canadians with disabilities. By supporting me with a donation to the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides, you are enabling Lions Foundation to fulfill their mission to empower Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence by providing Dog Guides at no cost to them and supporting each pair in their journey together.

Please donate now and support me in my challenge!

My Updates

Thank you, Rick Mercer.

Monday 12th Jan
In 2013, The Rick Mercer Report did a 10 minute segment on Dog Guides Canada. It was the puppy foster training program that sealed the deal.

Fast forward 12 years, and I’ve had the good fortune to be a donor, a foster to Cumin, and a sitter to many more dogs. Each one, 12, in all, with names from Amie to Zoodles (true story) and many letters in between, gave me joy — and I’m all the better for it. There are few things I can say have been life changing. Caring for dogs is one of them.

What the organization does is something I believe in deeply: making things better for someone.

So this May, Bella and I will be  walking for Dog Guides. If you’re able, I’d grateful for your support. I think Bella would be too.

With gratitude,
A&B

P.S. And should you wish to watch it, here is the original segment from the Mercer Report: https://youtu.be/LjVbYES3ygg
