Buddy is retired now and enjoying his senior years with a new feline friend he adores! He loves stealing the cats tiny ball and is such a goof as he gets her in zoom mode!

My Autism Assistance Dog Guide Story
Sunday 10th MayI've decided to host Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides (LFCDG) with their Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides closer to home to raise funds for those in need. Please sponsor me in the first walk in my community and support my efforts to give back to this charity. Seeing first hand the difference a trained dog can make in life has made LFCDG my charity of choice. Buddy has made a huge difference in my daughter's life. She used to get out of the car and run screaming when I was stuck in traffic! Child locks did not stop her! Considering the numerous specialist appointments she had at Sick Kids and Holland Bloorview - I was beyond stressed out and had to convince someone to take a day off work so I could sit beside her booster seat and keep her calm in these situations. She also had trouble sleeping and once let herself outside in nothing but her diaper and winter boots to slide on her back yard play set at 3am. She managed to get her sleeper off BUT did not know how to put on her snow pants and jacket!! Once her trained Autism Assistance Dog Guide Buddy came home - she has remained in the vehicle in traffic and never escaped the safety of home again. Autism Assistance Dog Guide Buddy calmed her by putting his weight across her in the back seat (hugs), and she started to sleep through the night with his presence on her bed allowing me a tiny reprieve from constant worry. Every $1 raised goes to help LFCDG empower Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world. The confidence and independence a Dog Guide provides comes at no cost, and the trainers support with each pair is simply priceless! Please click here to make a donation through my page or Brianna's.
