Contribute to the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides to give more Canadians a new leash on life!
On Sunday, May 26th, Sage and I will be back at Grimsby Square, participating in the Grimsby Walk for Dog Guides!
This year, we are working toward a special goal of raising $1000 to support Canadians in need of a Dog Guide.
From guiding their handlers through their daily lives to getting help when it's needed most, Dog Guides play a crucial role in the lives of Canadians with disabilities. By supporting us with a donation to the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides, you are enabling Lions Foundation to fulfill their mission to empower Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence by providing Dog Guides at no cost to them and supporting each pair in their journey together.
Dog Guides help to meet the needs of those with medical & physical disabilities such as hearing/vision impairment, diabetes, and epilepsy. They also help professional agencies that support people who have been in traumatic situations.
It costs approximately $35,000 to breed, train, and place a Dog Guide with their handler. Lions Foundation does not receive government funding, and therefore relies on support through fundraising events such as the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides.
