This May, help me “walk across Canada” to give more Canadians a new leash on life!
Hi friends,
I've just joined Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides for their Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides to raise funds for those in need of a Dog Guide.
I was paired with Flame in September 2024. She helps me open and close doors, cabinets and drawers; fetch items including shoes, keys and my phone; and bark for help should I ever need to get someone's attention in an emergency. With Flame by my side, I feel safer and more confident living and moving around the city independently. She's also a great companion who has brought so much joy and purpose to my life. I take care of her so she can take of me.
