I’m walking in the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides again this year because I have been volunteering with Lions  for over a decade now and have seen first hand the kind of impact these dogs have on people’s lives  

Dog Guides support people in so many different ways: helping someone navigate the world without sight, alerting to sounds, offering grounding and safety for Austin children, and even detecting medical changes, like shifts in blood sugar. There guidance and friendship can change how someone experiences their life.

I’m hoping to raise $1,000 to support— these pups are gifted to the people who need them, and each cost $35,000 to breed and train  

If the cause speaks to your heart, truly any and all amounts are appreciated.
