A dog can literally change your world...It changed our son's world
We received Cleopatra when our son was 5 years old. He has nocturnal epilepsy and prior to receiving her, fear ruled our lives. We feared we might miss him having a seizure during the night and so we slept in his room in shifts. We were captive to epilepsy.
When she entered our world, everything changed. Our son could have his own room and live more independently. My husband and I could breathe again knowing that Cleo would bark if he were to have a seizure.
It has been years since we have had her as she passed when our son went to university, but having her in our lives made our lives so much safer and better in so many ways. We will be forever grateful to the Lions Foundation Canada Dog Guides for entrusting us to bring her into our lives for our son.
