This May, help me “walk across Canada” to give more Canadians a new leash on life!
It's thanks to people like you that made it possible for me to receive my DAD from the Lions foundation! I can't express how much my retired and current service dogs changed my life and without the lion foundation dog Guides of Canada I don't think I would have been able to have such amazing dogs by my side keeping me safe!
Please donate now and support me in my challenge!

Lions dogs
Sunday 16th Mar As I am sure everyone knows dogs are amazing animals. Lions dogs take it that one step further by giving their handlers the confidence and freedom to go out (especially on their own!). When I received my first DAD, Beacon, I was heading off into the world on my own, moving to a new city away from my friends and family. Beacon gave me and my family the confidence that I would be safe out there since I can't feel my lows until they're are super low. She's even woken me up in the night when my blood sugar suddenly dropped! As they say the nose always knows! Now Beacon is enjoying her well deserved retirement in BC with my parents! She's loving all naps she could dream of!
Thanks to the lions foundation dog guides of Canada and their supporters I was able to get a successor dog, Esme. While Beacon will always be the light of my life, Esme is my little shadow. Always by my side and keeping her nose on me, even when we go to the park to play she's never far away and checking in to keep me safe. I may call her my shadow but she shines brighter than I could have ever imagined.
I will be furever grateful for what the lions foundation and their supporters have done for myself and other Canadians like me.
