Be the reason independence is restored and lives are transformed.
Dogs have changed my life.
Hi, I’m Émeline. I’m 13, and I’m autistic. I run Happy Tails with Émeline, where I walk and care for dogs in my community.
Dogs have helped me feel more confident, more calm, and more comfortable in my day-to-day life. From meeting therapy dogs at CHEO to spending time with the dogs I care for, I’ve seen how powerful that connection can be.
That’s why I’m taking part in the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides on May 31.
Dog Guides help people feel safe, supported, and more independent every day. It costs about $35,000 to raise and train one Dog Guide, and the people who need them don’t pay for them.
Our goal is to raise $1,000 to help fund a future Dog Guide.

We’ll also be at the Lions Club in Cumberland with a Happy Tails with Émeline booth. Come say hi.
You’re not just donating. You’re helping someone gain independence.

Dear Émeline, We are so proud of you and the way you care for animals with so much kindness, compassion, and love. Every pet is lucky to be looked after by someone as thoughtful and caring as you. Lou was so excited when she heard about your Walk for Dog Guides fundraiser and immediately wanted to contribute with her pocket money. We are both cheering you on from Switzerland. Keep shining and being your amazing self. Big hugs and lots of love, Lou and Shannon
