Help Me Give Someone Their Independence Back 🐾
Dogs have changed my life.
Hi, I’m Émeline. I’m 13, and I’m autistic. I run Happy Tails with Émeline, where I walk and care for dogs in my community.
Dogs have helped me in so many ways. They give me confidence, they give me structure, and they help me feel calmer when things feel overwhelming. From meeting therapy dogs at CHEO to spending time with the dogs I care for, I’ve seen how much of a difference they can make.
That’s why I’m taking part in the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides on May 31. Dog Guides help people feel safe, supported, and more independent in their everyday lives.
It costs about $35,000 to raise and train one Dog Guide, and the people who need them don’t pay for them. They’re made possible by donations and events like this walk.
