In Loving Memory of Chris Smith — Help Us Fund a Guide Dog That Saves Lives

Chris was someone who brought light, kindness, and laughter into the lives of everyone who knew them. They were deeply loved, and their absence is felt every day.

Chris lived with epilepsy and was waiting to receive his seizure guide dog. Like so many others with this condition, they faced challenges that were often invisible to the outside world. Tragically, Chris passed away due to epilepsy, leaving behind family and friends who continue to grieve an unimaginable loss.

We are fundraising in Chris' memory to sponsor a guide dog trained to support people with epilepsy. These dogs are not pets—they are highly trained, life-saving companions. Epilepsy guide dogs can alert to seizures, stay with their handler during an episode, seek help, and provide safety and independence that can quite literally mean the difference between life and death.

By supporting this fundraiser, you are helping turn profound loss into lasting impact. You are helping to protect someone's child, partner, sibling, or friend. You are helping ensure that another family doesn’t have to experience heartbreak.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to funding a guide dog that will change—and potentially save—a life. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page also makes a meaningful difference.

We hope that through this guide dog, Chris' legacy will live on in the most powerful way possible: by keeping someone safe.

Thank you for your compassion, your generosity, and for remembering Chris.

With gratitude,

Brian and Val
